SOD’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) Vocational Program prepares students to understand, implement and apply Artificial Intelligence to solve real-world business challenges and support organisational transformation. Built around People, Processes and Technology, SOD’s signature pedagogical framework underpinning every learning program, this progressive approach recognises that successful AI adoption begins with people, advances through effective business processes and is enabled by the strategic application of emerging technologies. The program brings together 12 complementary micro-credentials organised into three progressive Short Courses, each representing an essential dimension of AI implementation in modern organisations.
Level 1 – People: AI Leadership & Business Innovation focuses on developing the human capabilities required to identify AI opportunities, communicate innovative ideas and support responsible technology adoption. Students learn to recognise opportunities for the ethical application of AI, develop and pitch AI-powered business ideas, strengthen workplace cybersecurity awareness and explore how AI can enhance organisational branding. Particular emphasis is placed on creativity, persuasive communication, professional judgement, stakeholder engagement and building the confidence needed to contribute to AI-driven initiatives. This first level establishes the human foundation for the business processes and technologies introduced in subsequent levels.
Level 2 – Processes: AI Strategy & Business Transformation focuses on transforming AI opportunities into structured business strategies and practical operational improvements. Students learn to develop AI-focused strategic plans, identify opportunities to improve business operations and establish processes that support organisational efficiency and innovation. They also explore rapid prototyping and Minimum Viable Product (MVP) development, learning how to test business ideas, evaluate solutions and communicate proposals through effective professional presentations. This level emphasises the importance of aligning AI initiatives with organisational objectives, establishing effective processes and preparing businesses for sustainable AI adoption.
Level 3 – Technology: Agentic AI & Emerging Technologies introduces the advanced AI tools, intelligent systems and emerging technologies that enable and enhance the business processes established in Level 2. Students explore AI-powered data management and predictive analytics, advanced prompt engineering, agentic AI applications and intelligent chatbots for customer experience. They learn how to analyse business information, generate insights, design AI-supported workflows and apply intelligent technologies to improve customer interactions and operational performance. Particular emphasis is placed on understanding how agentic AI systems can support complex tasks and business activities while maintaining appropriate human oversight, security and accountability.
Together, these three levels establish a progressive learning pathway in which people provide the foundation, processes provide the structure and technology provides the capabilities to accelerate AI-driven business transformation. Each micro-credential comprises 24 hours of learning, with four micro-credentials forming a 96-hour Short Course. Successful completion of all 12 micro-credentials, representing 288 hours of learning, completes SOD’s Artificial Intelligence Vocational Program and equips students with practical, industry-relevant capabilities to contribute confidently to AI initiatives across diverse organisational environments.
