Marketing Technology, AI & Automation is the third and final Short Course that comprises SOD’s Digital Marketing Vocational Program. It represents the Technology component of SOD’s signature People, Processes and Technology pedagogical framework, the educational model underpinning the design and development of all SOD learning programs. This progressive approach recognises that successful organisational transformation begins with people, advances through effective processes and is enabled by technology. Accordingly, the Digital Marketing Vocational Program is structured into three complementary Short Courses: Level 1 – People (Digital Marketing & Personal Branding), Level 2 – Processes (Digital Marketing Strategy & Campaign Management) and Level 3 – Technology (Marketing Technology, AI & Automation). Building upon the communication, collaboration and professional capabilities developed in Level 1 and the marketing strategies and operational processes established in Level 2, this final level focuses on applying emerging technologies, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and intelligent automation to improve digital marketing performance and organisational productivity.

Students will also develop practical skills in auditing an organisation’s digital marketing presence, evaluating website performance, reviewing digital channels and identifying opportunities for technological improvement. Additionally, they will examine the ethical and responsible use of AI, including data privacy, transparency, algorithmic bias, information security and human oversight when implementing AI-powered marketing solutions. Particular emphasis is placed on integrating technology with established marketing processes, improving productivity, evaluating digital performance and ensuring responsible technology adoption. Each micro-credential comprises 24 hours of learning, providing a total of 96 hours for this Short Course. Successful completion of all three Short Courses, representing 12 micro-credentials and 288 hours of learning, contributes towards completion of SOD’s Digital Marketing Vocational Program.
