AI Strategy & Business Transformation is the second of three Short Courses that comprise SOD’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) Vocational Program. It represents the Processes component of SOD’s signature People, Processes and Technology pedagogical framework, the educational model underpinning the design and development of all SOD learning programs. This progressive approach recognises that successful organisational transformation begins with people, advances through effective processes and is enabled by technology. Accordingly, the AI Vocational Program is structured into three complementary Short Courses: Level 1 – People (AI Leadership & Business Innovation), Level 2 – Processes (AI Strategy & Business Transformation) and Level 3 – Technology (Advanced AI Technologies & Automation). Building upon the leadership, communication and entrepreneurial capabilities developed in Level 1, this second level focuses on establishing organisational direction, designing effective business processes and translating strategic objectives into practical AI-driven initiatives. Through four industry-focused micro-credentials, students will learn to develop comprehensive strategic plans, including organisational mission and vision, SWOT analysis, SMART objectives, strategy formulation, implementation planning and performance evaluation. They will explore how AI can support business operations management, improve operational efficiency, optimise workflows and strengthen organisational decision-making. Students will also apply rapid prototyping methodologies to develop and evaluate Minimum Viable Products (MVPs), testing innovative business solutions before committing significant resources. Additionally, they will develop professional presentation skills using AI-powered tools to communicate strategic plans, operational improvements and business proposals to stakeholders. Particular emphasis is placed on aligning organisational strategy with operational execution, measuring business performance and managing continuous improvement. Each micro-credential comprises 24 hours of learning, providing a total of 96 hours for this Short Course. Successful completion of all three Short Courses, representing 12 micro-credentials and 288 hours of learning, contributes towards completion of SOD’s Artificial Intelligence Vocational Program.
